Data collection Throughout the course of your application, we will collect and process the personal application data listed below from you:

  • Surname, first name
  • Address
  • Telephone number
  • E-mail
  • Application documents (application letter, CV, references, certificates, etc.)

Purpose of data acquisition/forwarding

We process your personal data in accordance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

The processing of your data primarily serves to establish an employment relationship. The overriding legal basis for this is Article 88 Paragraph 1 of GDPR in conjunction with section 26 Paragraph 1 of GDPR. Your personal application data is collected and processed exclusively for the specific purpose of filling positions within our company. Your data will only ever be forwarded to the internal bodies and specialist departments within our company who are responsible for the specific application procedure. Your application data will neither be used for any purpose beyond this nor forwarded to third parties. We are also obliged on the basis of the European Anti-Terror Directives 2580/2001 and 881/2002 to compare your data with the so-called “EU Terror Lists” to ensure that no money or other economic resources are being provided for terrorist purposes.

Storage period of the application data

Your personal application data will always be automatically deleted three months after the application procedure has been completed. This shall not apply if legal provisions prevent such deletion or if the data is required for further storage for the purposes of providing evidence, or if you have given your express consent for a longer storage period.

If we do employ you, we will add your application documents to your Human Resources file. After the employment relationship comes to an end, we will continue to store the specific personal data that we are legally obliged to retain. This is usually the result of statutory burden of proof and storage obligations which are defined in the German Commercial Code and Fiscal Code as well as in other directives. According to these codes, the storage periods are up to ten years. It is also possible that personal data may be stored for the period of time during which claims can be brought against us (statutory limitation period of three or up to thirty years).

Data security

To protect the data collected as part of your application from manipulation and unauthorised access, we have taken various technical and organisational precautions.

Right to information and revocation

If you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data, or in cases where you require information about your data or if your data needs to be amended or deleted, or if you wish to revoke any consents given, please e-mail us at datenschutz(at)socom.de with your request.
