SoCom attends the GEIST Journées d’Études in Marseille for the first time

From 10 to 12 June, the 50th Journées d’Études of GEIST took place in Marseille. Under the guiding theme “People at the heart of social innovation: rethinking relationships and organisations within the industry”, key players from the industrial laundry and textile services sector came together. It is a theme that also reflects SoCom’s own approach: software developed from within the industry, for the industry, with a strong focus on practical day-to-day requirements.

An important step in developing the French market

For SoCom, this edition marked a special milestone: for the first time, the company participated as a new member of GEIST, represented by David Simon and Cosimo Maurizio Altavilla. With David Simon, SoCom now has a French-speaking contact person who can support customers in their own language and with in-depth industry expertise – an important step in the company’s targeted development of the French market.

The fact that this strategy is already bearing fruit is demonstrated by the collaboration with Anett, SoCom’s first French customer, which is successfully using the TIKOS platform.

The programme combined expert input with intensive industry dialogue – ranging from the results of the sector survey and employee engagement to leadership and management communication. The many discussions with industry representatives, customers and partners were particularly valuable, focusing on operational realities and the specific challenges facing industrial laundries today.

A deeper understanding of market developments and industry expectations

“For us as a new member of GEIST and as a company actively developing the French market, these days were particularly valuable. We were able to gain an even better understanding of the industry, its expectations and, above all, the people behind it,” said David Simon and Cosimo Maurizio Altavilla in their summary of the event.

Special thanks go to Emmanuelle Pianetti, Fabrice Shoshany, the entire organising team, all members of the Board of Directors, and the speakers who contributed to the success of the event.

SoCom looks back on its first participation with many new insights, valuable contacts and a deeper understanding of the French market – and looks forward to continuing the dialogue at future GEIST events.
